About Us

FIRE AID was established in 2012 in a café in Kent where like minded experts, passionate about supporting first responders worldwide, wanted to create an effective ‘central hub’ that could facilitate sharing knowledge and resources. The concept involved bringing together specialists, working to support first responders, to share best practice, equipment and expertise which was ethical, sustainable and professional.

Since then, FIRE AID has grown to become a UK-registered charity (CIO) with over 30 member organisations.  Our role is to bring together our members to provide ethical and sustainable donations of fire and rescue equipment and training to over 40 countries. We work with relevant emergency services, local organisations and government agencies to make any donations part of a sustainable injury reduction and public safety strategy.
